I bought Camera+ when it first was released and I thought it was a nice application. Nice, but not incredible good – then came version 1.1 which improved the whole experience. Good but still not something special.
A few days ago came version 1.2 and it has one feature that I really like and that made Camera+ really interesting – the ability to control where the camera focus *and* independently control the exposure. This feature makes it really easy to control the exposure, here are few example that I just took. In all photos the focus in on the trees above the roof – the first is exposed after the sky, the second after the trees in the middle and the third after the tree to the right. As you can see it’s a huge difference
This feature is incredible useful and really makes it more fun to use the iPhone camera.
Of course Camera+ has the usual set of manipulating the photos – here I used one of the FX tools available
If you like to play with the camera on your iPhone I really recommend that you take a look at Camera+ (note: not Camera Plus).
I can only come up with two disadvantages with Camera+:
- I haven’t found an easy way to save both the original image and the edited image to the camera roll
- Now I really want an iPhone 4
