Shoveling snow

Since I’m going to the US in a few days I had to shovel some snow from the roof – if it’s get warmer we get more moisture in the air which means that the snow is going to get heavier. And if there is a lot of snow the roof could cave in due to the weight (something that has happened several times this winter – not our roof though ). Because of this I got up a bit earlier today and started to shovel snow, after an hour or so I came to the part of the roof where the snow was the deepest. Here it was something like 160-170 cm of snow – I don’t think...

Too dark??

It’s not uncommon to hear people complain about how dark it is in the winter, what do you think? These pictures were taken yesterday about 14:15 Personally I really like the contrast between summer and winter, the picture below was taken about 5 minutes after midnight … but in June.

Ahhh, now it feels better

Yesterday I was a bit disappointed because it looked like everybody else except us were getting snow – I really dislike dark wet autumns/winters (and it can’t be winter without snow) – so it was a really nice surprise this morning when there was a _very_ thin layer of snow outside. It’s not much but I do appreciate that Mother Natures tried to comfort me in some way.
